Virginia Beach provides relocation incentives to businesses near Oceana Naval Air Station
August 16, 2010
Bill Throne, CCIM, SIOR, ALC, an industrial sales and leasing specialist in Thalhimer's Virginia Beach office, shares his thoughts about a recent article on incentives being offered to businesses near Oceana Naval Air Station:
“The City of Virginia Beach Economic Development Department and the Yes Oceana program should serve as a model for economic development partnerships. Bringing properties that surround the Naval Air Station into compliance with the Navy’s regulations is a challenge, but the redevelopment plan is aggressive, creative and effective in balancing the competing needs of the Navy, the business community and citizens of Virginia Beach. Truly ‘win-win’ for all parties. My hats off to them.”
