GIVING | Thalhimer Raised $2,432 for Virginia Home for Boys and Girls

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) for the months of July and August through their Thalhimer Gives program, a company initiative focused on community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local non-profit organizations. 

• Donating financially
   – Thalhimer associates raised $1,432 for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls through “Friday Jeans” and the company contributed a $1,000 match for a total donation of $2,432. “Friday Jeans” allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday by making a $5 donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization.

• Providing much-needed supplies
   – Thalhimer associates donated a multitude of household and personal items to benefit the participants of Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, including suitcases, bedding and other linen items, picture frames and wall decorations, as well as art supplies.

• Giving generously of their time
   – Thalhimer partnered with Virginia Home for Boys and Girls for three volunteer opportunities on July 10, as well as August 16 and 17, and provided associates paid time off to give back.
       Thalhimer associates assisted with campus maintenance and campus store projects, including general clean-up around their campus and power washing, and organization with their campus store sorting and staging donations items.
       Thalhimer associates also volunteered to help set up ahead of the youth triathlon, setting up bike racks, start/finish line and various tasks needed along triathlon course.
       Thalhimer associates also had the pleasure of assisting during VHBG’s annual fundraiser, Endorphin Fitness/ Live Red Foundation Youth Triathlon held on Saturday, August 17th.
