Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) for the months of November and December through their Thalhimer Gives company initiative focused on increasing community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates have the opportunity to actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local organizations.
• Donating financially
o Thalhimer associates raised $1,037 for Greater Richmond SCAN through “Friday Jeans” and the company contributed a 100% match for a total donation of $2,037 to Greater Richmond SCAN. “Friday Jeans” allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday by making a $5 donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization.

• Providing much-needed supplies
o Thalhimer associates donated items for Greater Richmond SCAN’s Santa Shop:
. Various and plentiful toys, games and clothing items for infants through 11 year old children
. Bicycles and helmets, sports equipment, jewelry, gift cards to movies, GameStop, iTunes, and clothing items for 12 to 15+ year old children

• Giving generously of their time
o Thalhimer partnered with Greater Richmond SCAN for a unique volunteer opportunity by assisting with the setup and organization of donated items, as well as holiday decorating, for their Santa Shop, held in early December.

“Thalhimer’s generosity and caring for children in our community is so appreciated. Their staff brought so much energy, kindness, and passion to help out where we needed it most. Their efforts in the months of November and December made such a difference for the families we serve,” said Jeanine Harper, Executive Director of Greater Richmond SCAN.

“Greater Richmond SCAN provides invaluable services to children and families in the RVA community. It’s a cause that Thalhimer is proud to support.  They work hand-in-hand with many of the family-based organizations and law enforcement in our area.  We urge others to learn about SCAN’s mission and join in support of this non-profit!” said Lee Warfield, President & CEO of Thalhimer.
