RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with The First Tee of Greater Richmond for the months of May and June through their Thalhimer Gives company initiative focused on increasing community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates have the opportunity to actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local organizations.

• Donating financially
o Thalhimer associates raised $1,125 for The First Tee of Greater Richmond through “Friday Jeans” and the company contributed a $1,000 match for a total donation of $2,125. “Friday Jeans” allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday by making a $5 donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization.
• Providing much-needed supplies
o The First Tee of Greater Richmond assists families in the community by partnering with FeedMore. Thalhimer associates donated a large amount of food items, on behalf of The First Tee. The First Tee is a youth development organization where young people can build confidence, develop responsibility and respect, and appreciate the value of giving back to their community, all while learning the lifelong sport of golf.
• Giving generously of their time
o Thalhimer partnered with The First Tee of Greater Richmond for two volunteer opportunities on May 16 and June 27, and provided associates paid time off to give back.
 Thalhimer associates assisted at The Tattersall Youth Development Center at The First Tee Chesterfield Golf Course with repairs, maintenance, painting and prep for the upcoming remodel of their clubhouse.
 Thalhimer associates also volunteered to assist at the Drive, Chip, And Putt Qualifying Event held at The Tattersall Youth Development Center at The First Tee Chesterfield Golf Course on June 27th. Associates staffed the registration, assisted with scoring, and meal preparation for the families attending the event. Drive, Chip, and Putt is a nationwide youth golf development initiative that invites boys and girls, ages 7-15, to participate in local qualifying opportunities.

“Our partnership with Thalhimer is a perfect example of how showing up and being present makes a difference; in addition to Thalhimer’s generous financial support, associates volunteered their time and talents to aid our operations. Thalhimer clearly values the opportunity to work to enrich our community, for that, we are truly grateful,” said Brent Schneider, Chief Executive Officer, The First Tee of Greater Richmond.

“The First Tee of Greater Richmond is a unique organization that is focused on building character, teaching important life values and healthy choices to children in the RVA community. Through this process they are exposed to the game of golf which they can enjoy throughout their lives. First Tee is truly making a positive impact and we are proud to support them with our Thalhimer Gives initiative. Our associates enjoyed helping make improvements to The First Tee facility and volunteering their time at the Drive, Chip, and Putt qualifying event.,” Lee Warfield, President & CEO of Thalhimer.
